"Thanksgiving Grace"
Dear Heavenly Father,
We know all things come from Thee
Now as we bow our heads on this Thanksgiving day
To thank you for all blessings you give
Each and every day
Our gratitude is unending as we pray.
Lord, God, we know Thy mighty hand
Encircles all throughout the year
With great love and devotion, now we offer up
The thankful homage of all gathered here.
Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness:
come before His presence with singing.
Know ye that the Lord he is God;
it is he that hath made us,
and not we ourselves;
We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him and bless his name.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting;
And his truth endureth to all generations.
Over The River And Through The Wood
Lydia Maria Child
Over the river and through the wood,
To grandfathers house we go;
The horse knows the way
To carry the sleigh
Through white and drifted snow.
Over the river and through the wood-
Oh, how the wind does blow!
It stings the toes
And bites the nose
As over the ground we go.
Over the river and through the wood,
To have a first-rate play.
Hear the bells ring,
"Ting-a-ling-ling!"
Hurrah for Thanksgiving Day!
Over The river and through the wood,
Trot fast my dapple-gray!
Spring over the ground
Like a hunting hound,
For this Thanksgiving Day!
Over the river and through the wood,
And straight through the barnyard gate.
We seem to go
Extremely slow-
It is so hard to wait.
Over the river and through the wood-
Now grandmother's cap I spy!
Hurrah for the sun!
Is the pudding done?
Hurrah for the pumpkin pie!
Dede's Note
I am sad not to be on-line with all my friends
to celebrate Thanksgiving with you all, so
I had Jimmy do this page ahead of time so
I could tell you all how much we love you
and say,
Happy Thanksgiving To One And All!
